Below is a post from one of our retreat participants this last weekend. If we can help ease just one persons anxiety dealing with cancer we have succeeded. THIS is why we do what we do... "I have 'scanxiety'. I am going for my echo-cardiogram, PET scan and MRI today. Scanxiety is defined as the anxiety preceding tests and scans. This is followed by the anxiety waiting for the results. The black and white definition of how I am doing. Are the tumors shrinking? Is everything still going in the right direction? At a most wonderful Wind River Retreat this weekend I was shown how to easily access my heart. The heart tells the brain that we’ve got this. The brain can stand down. Quit worrying. I will be practicing this all day as I go through the tests and as I wait for the results." Ann Herlihy, Mississippi http://gracehopeandcancer.com/ |
