Each year our Wind River team celebrates the lives of our retreat alumni (and other names forwarded to us) by saying a few words and reading, out loud, the names of those who've passed. We read all the names of Wind River alum who have passed since our inception in 2007 and while the list grows longer, we cherish each friend and our memories.
These included the following people lost in 2023:
Rob DiFrank, R Scott Bryan, Michael (Mike) Smith, Cynthia Lipski, Mike B Lawing, Michael (Mike) Renegar, Barbara Roberts, Karamjit Kang, Cathy Grady, Mark Melaragno, Cooper Akin, Laura Lee Bartholow, Cathy Berlin, Nikki Wilson, Lauren Gift, Terri Wagner, Susan Blackburn, Owen Morse, Kathy Lasell, Grace Tanaka, TJ Reddy, Sandi Mullis Spratt, Kelly Spangler (Dec 2022), Teresa Ann (Terry) DiCesare (Dec 2022).

This is the message we read in their honor:
"As we begin this brand new year it's customary to look forward to the possibilities ahead of us and contemplate who we will become in the year ahead. But before we rush ahead into the future it is important for us to take time to pause and remember the people we've lost in 2023. People that, in some cases, we only knew for a short time and were lucky enough to meet and in other cases, people we've known a lifetime.
Each of the names we read was a light in the universe, a person that touched those around them and left a mark. We read these names aloud tonight to honor their family who miss them and to honor their memory and let them know that they are not forgotten. Each name is a person, a lifetime of adventures and memories and each person will be greatly missed..."
From you we have learned many things...
