Our unique, four-day Cancer Wellness Retreat emphasizes time away with fellow survivors in Nature. Walking trails, a cozy log-home and a lively creek and waterfall with fellow survivors, this retreat offers lots of hands-on learning opportunities to:

Unfortunately we do not have space for everyone who wants to come. But we do touch base with all applicants and offer survivor to survivor phone support!

- Connect, laugh, and share with others living with cancer
- Explore what is really on your mind and in your heart through creative workshops
- Experience time in nature to let go!

Frequently Asked Questions
Who participates in our Retreats?Men and women living with cancer (in treatments, dealing with a re-occurrence OR recently done with treatments asking, 'What now?')
Retreats are open to residents of North and South Carolina. Priority is given to survivors between 29 - 55 People with ALL cancer types are welcome. Some priority maybe given to those with more advanced cancer. In order to make space available to all types of cancer, we do put a limit on our breast cancer spaces so those will fill up first. We welcome all faith traditions, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. |
What to expect once you're hereA mix of group and individual activities including daily movement (hikes, yoga, Tai Chi), play time with arts and music, mindfulness exercises, therapeutic healing touch, and more. Talented Wellness Practitioners are invited to every retreat!
Healthy, vegetarian "family style" meals (tell us on your application if you have special dietary needs). Retreats range in size from 8-10 participants, for a personal and sharing atmosphere. |
Logistics & Timing
We are not a medical facility. Participants must be able to handle their own medical needs.
Participants must be able to maneuver 3 to 4 flights of stairs several times a day, and mange on uneven gravel paths. We are a smoke free facility. We have two cats. Participants share a room with one other person of the same sex with shared bathrooms. Most Retreats start between 2-4PM Thursday and end at 2PM Sunday. |
Cost
There is no charge for the Retreat, allowing participants to focus on healing. All meals, lodging, and activities are included.
