Tea Time with a Wind River Friend

We thought about what makes our retreats and other events special and realized it is the personal connection, the times when we can laugh and cry and laugh again and we don't need to be in the same location to do that!

Open to anyone in our Wind River family (survivors, caregivers, volunteers, supporters, healthcare practitioners), we are rolling out a new way to connect with us, and hopefully experience a little Wind River magic from the comfort of your own living room that we are calling Tea Time with Wind River.

It's Simple:
  1. Email us and we will find a convenient 30 minute time to share together!
  2. Make yourself a cup of tea just before your scheduled time
  3. Get comfortable, sit back and chat with one of our Wind River team members about whatever is on your mind

Music and Art Healing

Live Music Therapy with Dean
from our partner and friends at Levine Cancer Institute, Charlotte, NC

Join Dean Quick, MT-BC, Board Certified Music Therapist. The classes will explore the use of music as means for self-care through the use of live music relaxation with visuals, song discussion related to music for certain situations, interaction with the viewers/participants about their favorite music, and live music performance. Classes range from 15 mins to 45 mins and drop-in is welcome. If you miss the livestream, videos are available on the channel after each broadcast.

Funky Collage Art Time with Amber

Amber Blackwood is a Wind River retreat alum and a retired Art Teacher.   We are thankful she comes back to Wind River offering art classes as she one of a kind, an dour own personal unicorn!  (Amber is in the middle after painting art on all of us!)

In this 16 minute self-guided tutorial video, Amber walks you through a creative and funky way to collage.  I was totally caught off-guard with all the things you can do!  And be sure to turn up your volume, as Amber is on a cancer medication that only allow her to speak in a whisper.
