Wind River Wellness Retreats

What is a Cancer Wellness Retreat?

Wind River Cancer Wellness Retreats bring together men and women who want to further explore their cancer journey, focusing on living more fully and authentically.

Nestled in the woods of western North Carolina, our retreats provide a healing place in nature for laughter, storytelling and connecting with others living with all types of cancer.

Our 4 day wellness retreats are held primarily in the spring and fall and provide an introduction to various techniques for reducing stress and living a healthier, more balanced life.  Things like: Qi Gong and Gentle Yoga, Guided Imagery, Healthy Eating, Art and Music, Hikes, Bonfires and time to relax and listen to the sounds of a babbling creek in a hammock.

As Gandhi once said:

“There is more to life than increasing its speed.”

At the Heart of Wind River ...
(recent quotes from retreat alumni)

"It has been two months since my Retreat, and I am still in total amazement from my Wind River experience. ...

To be able to share my story and gleam from others was priceless.  The laughter along with the tears was healing to my soul.  I'm still in awe and find myself going back there in my mind on a daily basis for strength (and humor)!"
