Robyn Clark Stevens
2015 Wind River Alum
This week we are thrilled to share that one of our 2015 Retreat alumni, a stage IV cancer survivor had her most recent scans report N.E.D. which stands for NO EVIDENCE of DISEASE!!!
Our announcement could easily stop there, but it was profound to read in the same post by Robyn the following important message to all survivors who have anxiety around the uncertainty of cancer ...
"Cancer has a way of keeping you walking a very, very tight rope. You don't go too positive because you don't want to be let down. And yet you can't go too negative because that's REALLY not good. So you walk this line, yet always wondering when you're going to trip and fall. I can't say those thoughts will ever go away but you manage it. You just manage it.
I don't know what the future holds. I don't know if this will change in another year... I want to hope not but again, I'm not in control. Any way this goes, I'm here now and for that I'm forever grateful and lucky. Be. Here. Now
