Prior Year Events Supported by Wind River 2007 -2010 In 2010, Wind River touched over 150 men and women living with cancer, including hosting FOUR of our Wind River Cancer Wellness Retreats and a Colon Cancer Conference for the North Carolina State Comprehensive Cancer Program! And since not everyone can come to us, we expanded our Outreach Program by traveling to regional cancer support groups to provide cancer wellness workshops. We were also invited to speak at two major cancer survivor conferences: A national Advanced Breast Cancer Conference in Philadelphia, sponsored by Living Beyond Breast Cancer. Shannon spoke on “How to Make the Tough Decisions”. The 4th Annual North Carolina Statewide Cancer Survivor Summit. Shannon was the co-speaker with Dr. Cecilia Novitt on “Tools from Integrative Medicine that Work”.
